I showed up to the hotel in Frederick where Angela and her bridesmaids were getting ready and was immediately greeted by all the girls. They were so excited for Angela’s wedding day, and were so helpful with getting me anything I needed, which not only made me feel so welcomed, but also helped photographing the details go so smoothly! Other photographers probably know that showing up to a hotel room where they stayed the night before to shoot the getting ready photos can be challenging because you have to sometimes work around clutter, but they made it super easy and it wasn’t an issue at all! I am so thankful for that!
It seems like rain is the common factor for spring weddings this year. Angela and Rich spent a lot of time making their own decorations for their wedding, so it was a huge bummer that the decor had to be moved from outside at their beautiful venue to inside. But it was still so beautiful and their decorations and hard work did not go unnoticed! I always love when brides and grooms make their own DIY decorations because it makes it that much more special and personalizes the venue!
Angela was really excited for portraits, even though it was raining. So we brought some umbrellas outside with us and shot through the rain! She even wanted us to keep an eye on the weather throughout the reception, so that if the rain ended at any point, we could run out and get more photos! So Eric and I checked the radar over and over, and luckily the rain stopped! So we ran outside after dinner and got some beautiful photos!
I’m so thankful that Angela and Rich were so patient with the weather and trusted us to do what we needed to do to get beautiful images! Eric and I cannot thank you enough and we hope you enjoy these images from your wedding day!!
