It is said that cardinals appear when angels are near. So when Kelsey saw a red cardinal near them right before Kevin proposed, she knew his mom was around watching after them.
It was June of this year when Kelsey and Kevin went to Harpers Ferry, where they like to go pretty often. Kevin wanted hike up to Jefferson Rock, but Kelsey was scared to go up there, so instead they went to the Catholic Church on the hill. If you’re familiar with Harpers Ferry at all, you know that the church overlooks the Potomac River, the mountains, and pretty much all of Harpers Ferry. It’s beautiful! And the perfect spot for Kevin to pop the question! As soon as Kelsey said “yes,” the church bells went off!
It was only fitting that we go back to Harpers Ferry for their engagement session. It’s a place they both love to go, and since they got engaged there, it will always be a special place to them. Which is perfectly fine by me, because I love Harper Ferry! I could shoot there all day, everyday, and never run out of places to shoot. With the historic town, charming old buildings, the beautiful mountains, and the gorgeous Potomac river, it it more than ideal for an engagement session location!
After spending time with Kevin and Kelsey at their session, it is pretty apparent that these two are a pretty special couple. Their engagement session lasted an hour, but it flew by and only felt like 15 minutes! I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in September next year!!!
